Typically scaffold tags are always located at each entrance of scaffolding. These tags are used to indicate whether of not people can safety enter the scaffolding.
These tags come in three different colors. Green indicates that no harness is required, and anyone can enter the scaffolding. Yellow means that in order to enter you MUST be wearing a harness. And finally red means that you CANNOT enter the scaffolding for any reason. All three of these tags are double sided. The other side is used to track whether or not the inspection of the scaffold has been signed off on. This is used for both day and night shift workers.
All three of these tags are double sided. The other side is used to track whether or not the inspection of the scaffold has been signed off on. This is used for both day and night shift workers. Before you enter any scaffold, you MUST make sure that the inspection on the back of the tag is up to date. If it is not, you need to have someone inspect the scaffolding immediately.
And make sure that every time you enter scaffolding that everything you have on you is tethered to avoid dropping something and injuring anyone below you. Alright guys that’s it! Make sure that you are always following proper safety procedures when entering and using scaffolding.
